Beaver Flat Hike

Last week we tried to go from Cobble Flat to Beaver Flat. Today we tried it from the other side. This time we found that we get blocked by a steep cliff along the river. I guess it can't be done. We also tried to go from the river around a hill and back to the road. This proved doable but very difficult.

Sunday November 9, 2008

Went out west of Bragg Creek down highway 66 to Cobble Flat. On December 1 the road gets closed at Elbow Falls so we thought we'd go farther out. Tried to find a path along the river back to Elbow Falls. It's really a cow trail and would take quite a while to go all the way. Probably not doable in the winter.
